Dr. Fu is a board certified oncologist and hematologist. He received his MD from China Medical University in 1988 and his PhD from University of California, San Diego in 1998. His work in cancer research led to many publications in prestigious scientific journals, such as Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America. Dr. Fu completed his internal medicine residency at Brown University in 2001 and finished his oncology fellowship at Harvard University in 2004. Upon the completion of his fellowship, Dr. Fu moved to Oregon and practiced in the Pacific Northwest for over 20 years. He has practiced in several hospitals including Providence Health Services and Knight Cancer Institute of Oregon Health Science University. In 2019, Dr. Fu founded Bridgeway Oncology, LLC.

In his time away from work, Dr. Fu enjoys painting, wood carving, singing, gardening, and hiking. Dr. Fu and his wife, Angie, have two sons. The eldest is following in his footsteps and is currently a medical student at the University of Colorado. His younger son completed his master’s degree in athletic training at the University of Georgia and is starting PA school in George Washington University in 2025.
